AtC's FiNaLlY cOmPlEtE

I finally got some art finished! These six Atc's were made from the scrap I cut from the original picture that I had done. The original (which I will post next) was made following a technique I saw in the July/August 2009 issue of Somerset Studio. The technique was by artist Chrysti Hydeck of Art By Chrysti
It involved lots of layering of papers, paint, pencil, ink, gesso, stamping and I finished by spraying each card with Glimmer Mists for a little added sparkle.

There is no one getting out of this door!!

Finally, a path has been made!

And the tractor is put to work digging out the driveways! All said and done I think we've gotten 4 or more feet of snow over the past week. Some of the drifts have to be at least 5 feet deep! I haven't seen this much snow since living outside of Lancaster. Maddie is enjoying this though! Below are some more images from this huge snow storm!

While out getting groceries today I came upon this sitting at the entrance of the store. Everyone entering and leaving were quite amused by this so I just had to take a picture with my phone camera. The things that you happen upon in everyday life never ceases to amaze me!!

I'm starting a new collage with 4x6 watercolor swatches. I'm thinking of sewing the pieces together and adding other elements in the same manner. There was a technique that I saw in an issue of Cloth, Paper, Scissors Magazine so I was inspired to try it out!! Keep watching as it progresses.

I am so behind on posting! This was from the air show at the Lancaster Airport in August. It was soooo hot that day we really didn't stay too long. We were glad to get back home to the air conditioners!
