My ArT jOuRnAl

I started this a while ago, I just need to get going on more pages.

Here is a doll that I created using a wooden head with crimped paper hair. I added a crochet'd doily as wings. I then took a wood dowel and wrapped it with polyfill and covered with fabric. Around the fabric I wrapped a thin gold wire and wrapped again using two different fibers. The husband wants to know "What is the meaning of this??" LOL.

Here is a wall hanging project that I made at a local scrapbooking store, Pages In Time.

We took Maddie to the PA Farm Show in Harrisburg a couple of weeks ago. She just LOVED looking at all of the animals. She talked about it for days. We found this cute hat for her, just couldn't resist!!

On a group that I belong to (The Artisr's Circle) others were sharing their button fairies. Here is a button fairy that I created. I used an old recycled bottle cap. I took out the cork inside and put in a face image that I had gotten from Inkastamps.com and poured in some diamond glaze. I put a hole in the bottom and attached a rusty wire (found in our burn ditch) and added vintage buttons. At the end I added a vintage pearl and bead dangle from an old earring. Then to make wings I took packing tape and taped both sides of a recipe for Angel Cake (found in a vintage recipe book) and cut them out. I think it turned out pretty cool!!

The very artistic Melissa from http://alterediva.blogspot.com/ has invited everyone to take part in this Pay It Forward.

I too think this is a great idea and am willing to play!

I will send a handmade gift/thingy/ something to the first 3 people who leave a comment on my blog requesting to join this ‘Pay It Forward’ exchange. I don’t know what that gift will be, and you may not receive it tomorrow or next week, but you will receive it within 365 days, that is my promise! And truthfully, it will most probably be later rather than sooner! The only thing you have to do in return is ‘Pay It Forward’ by making the same promise on your blog with a link back to me. So basically, if you comment, I’ll send you something crafty that I’ll make! Be sure to include your email. Once you sign up, copy and paste the above paragraph on your blog, and three other lucky people will be recipients of your handmade work.

You must post this on your blog to be eligible.
